Health benefits of drinking lemon water

Lemons are a wonderful source of vitamin C, which is a primary antioxidant that helps protect cells from damaging free radicals. Vitamin C is also beneficial for the heart as it reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Lemon water is also known to be helpful in digestion by acting as a morning laxative and helps prevent constipation. That is why many people prefer to take it in the morning, as it helps reactivate the digestive system and prevents the accumulation of toxins in the body. It is also good for strengthening the immune system.

Health benefits of drinking apple cider vinegar

For many, apple cider vinegar is a weight loss drink. Lakshmi said: “Apple cider vinegar also has various health benefits. Helps control blood sugar levels. Apple cider vinegar has shown great potential to improve insulin sensitivity and help reduce post-meal blood sugar responses.” There are also studies showing that apple cider vinegar is helpful for weight loss. However, it is important to remember that just adding apple cider vinegar to your diet will not help you reduce your weight. There must also be proper diet and exercise habits to see visible changes.

Is one better than another for weight loss?

Lemon water and apple cider vinegar have similar health benefits. Therefore, people often get confused about which of the two they should choose. If you are just starting your weight loss journey, lemon water would be the best option. It is gentler for intestinal health and does not induce reactions such as acidity in sensitive people. Its fresh taste makes it easy to include in your diet and makes drinking it a habit.

“If you opt for apple cider vinegar, remember to dilute it and then consume it. It can sometimes be too powerful for people with health conditions and sensitive digestive systems,” Lakshmi said.

While these drinks can help you lose weight, they shouldn’t be your only solution. You should always have a healthy diet and regular exercise routine to make any progress in reducing your weight.

“Also, remember that regular consumption of acidic beverages like lemon water and apple cider vinegar can damage the enamel on your teeth. Whichever option you choose, don’t overdo it. Consume them in moderation,” Lakshmi reported.
